tools

Making and fixing stuff requires tools and that is why I have them. But I’d be lying if I were to deny that tools, in and of themselves, bring me great pleasure in their use. A thoughtfully designed tool that works just as it should, that marries form and function, that acts as an extension of oneself, is a joy. I spend a lot of time obsessing over sourcing tools that balance the new capacity I need for a project, pleasure of use, and cost. I’m adding a few of my favorites to this page - no one is paying me to do so but these are tools that I use frequently and, given how difficult it can be to rely on anything on the internet in the era of AI generated reviews and such, maybe this will be helpful to other tool nerds.
