Again taking most of my inspiration from the Metalist on YouTube, I built a stool with a nicely padded leather seat. The seat can come off and be replaced with an adjustable fork for holding extra long stock that extends off the table. I’d like to revisit the foot rest and countersink/thread the holes to make it a little more elegant. The weight is such that you can push the stool with your foot by the foot rest and send it sliding across the floor and out of the way without it tipping over. You can adjust the height with a spin of the acme threaded rod. It’s super comfortable and will probably outlive me.
