In 2006, my dad and I traveled together to Turkey to see the total solar eclipse. It was amazing. At the time, I was really into taking 360° panorama photos and I took several on this trip. Now you can just get 360 degree cameras but at the time it involved a special contraption for making the camera orbit around the focal node of the lens (the point where the refracted light converges) so you could take about three dozen photos which would later be stitched together with software.
